THE PROTECTORS COMES TO INSTANT VIDEO
From 1972, THE PROTECTORS is a fun series from the ITC stables (the same studio that brought "The Saint", "The Champions", "The Persuaders", etc.) and starred Robert Vaughn, Nyree Dawn Porter and Tony Anholt as international crime fighters and was filmed at various locations over in Europe.

A fun episode is titled "It Could Be Practically Anywhere On The Island" and involves the kidnapping of two pound puppy poodle belonging to a woman who is vacationing in Europe. The kidnappers originally planned on using the pup to smuggle some microfilm until a funny (and predictable) complication occurs that puts the kibash on their plans! This episode is a good one for animal lovers. (Guest stars: Linda Staab, Sherwood Price, and Madeleine Hinde)

Although the run time for each episode is around only 25 minutes which didn't allow for much character development, still it makes for enjoyable programming and a nice trip down memory lane despite this shortcoming. The...
